The Global Interest in Hollywood Celebrity News

People the world over are obsessed with the idea of the Hollywood celebrity, although many people who are famous for their work in Hollywood do not live anywhere near the sunny hills of Southern California. The tabloids that provide Hollywood celebrity news will travel the world to capture photos and information about these actors, actresses, singers and socialites. Hollywood celebrity photos and news are available on newsstands throughout the globe, from New York to Thailand.

While people have always been interested in celebrity news, the obsession with the Hollywood celebrity is a fairly new phenomenon that is fueled by photographers and media outlets. There are many reasons why people are so interested in Hollywood celebrity photos and news, but often it is because people feel as if they relate to that particular celebrity for one reason or another. They might believe that the Hollywood celebrity embodies the qualities they believe themselves to hold, or the qualities that they would like to exude.

There is no harm in looking at a Hollywood celebrity photos and seeing a piece of yourself in that famous individual, whether it is their hair, a characteristic of their facial structure, the way they dress, or the way they carry themselves. This is only one reason why people read the Hollywood celebrity news, though; for many people, it’s just something to pass the time in the hectic world we live in. Celebrity news provides a welcome relief from the serious and often depressing daily news that is unfortunately all too accurate. This is something that people from all over the world can relate to, whether they are a businessman in London or a hairdresser in San Diego.

The obsession with the Hollywood celebrity is not likely to go away any time soon; as long as photographers and writers continue to produce the photos and stories, and people around the world continue to be interested.

Are Celebrities Happy?

Before we ask the question – are celebrities happy, let us first find out what is happiness? If you feel good for an hour every day, and horrible for the rest of the day, are you happy? What if you are happy for eight hours a day and feel down for the remaining sixteen hours, are you a happy person? For most of us, happiness is a state that is not permanent. We are not happy throughout the day. At least majority of us are not.

What is happiness? Happiness means a sense of deep contentment. A cheerful outlook. An attitude of positive thoughts. A person who has these qualities is happy during all the times of the day.

How about celebrities then? They have name, fame and wealth. They can, not only buy whatever they desire, but they can also buy a loved one. They can buy anything. Their name is splashed around in the media most of the times. Every news about them is awaited by the general population. Celebrities may not have been born with a silver spoon in the mouth, but the current spoon is mostly that of gold. So they must be happy! Do not we think so.

But sadly, happiness is away from most of the celebrities. Speaking of contentment, most of them are not only not feeling any contentment, but are frustrated. Their every movement is captured by the media. They are always in the public eye. So they try to hide. They are jealous at times of the common man. And they have no deep sense of peace in them. Rather their life and minds are full of turbulence most of the times. They are at times so dissatisfied with their own life that they wish to run away from themselves. This they cannot do, and therefore substances that take them away from their own realities are often used by them.

Happiness has something to do with money, but only to an extent. Happiness has nothing to do with fame, if you are not satisfied with yourself. Whatever the world may say, unless one has self-esteem, one can never be happy. All of us sail in the same boat. Most of us are living unhappy lives most of the time. Let us get happiness that will give us a satisfied sense of living. Let us strive for happiness in our own inner world.

Celebrity Branding

A customer’s buying behavior is hugely influenced by famous people. Marketing experts, using associative learning principles, analyzes the lifestyle of the celebrities to properly assign them to the brand which depicts them perfectly. Their fashion sense, appeal, awareness, fame and public image are reviewed thoroughly to assign them the right charity work or product. Repetition, blocking, CS pre-exposure, extinction, overshadowing, belongingness, and association set size are the principles on the basis of which analysis is done like the famous Miss World Aishwarya Rai of India who has very beautiful eyes was chosen to campaign for eye donation project. Some of the celebrities are known for their distinct voice. This concept led to the voice-over method in advertising. Their voices merely attract customers when used in a commercial.

Today, nearly twenty percent of the advertising industry utilizes celebrity endorsement. A celebrity is bound to endorse many products and brands over a course of time. Each time a different image of the celebrity is being projected to the public. The company should keep in mind the previous identity and play accordingly. Projecting a different person every time will sustain the interest of the customers, but at the same time the two identities shouldn’t conflict with each other. The captain of England soccer team David Beckham has endorsed many products. While advertising for Gillette, his taste for hairstyles was considered and he was given a bald look. When campaigning for Police his passion for fashion was portrayed all over and heavily jeweled David Beckham was depicted.

If a celebrity isn’t comfortable with being pictured differently each time he or she can create a graphic image or logo of their own which can be used each time they advertise for a particular product. The logo can reflect the personality of the respective celebrity, like the font can be stylish if the celebrity is fashion conscious like Jennifer Lopez who created a logo of JLO, which is used to advertise perfume and even clothing line of her own. Another advantage in this approach is that the brand can still be appealing to the crowds even after the celebrity has lost his or her looks as they won’t require visual recognition and aids in the long-term negotiations. The celebrity logo itself carries the style and attitude.

Millions of dollars are being invested by marketers to get the promotional support of super stars every year. Davie Brown Entertainment has an agency completely devoted to the purpose of choosing a celebrity for a product. They not only judge a celebrity’s caliber to affect brand affinity and consumer’s taste but also design the advertisements for the celebrities to feature in it.

Why Celebrities Smoke Cigarettes?

Is it true that celebrities really desist from endorsing cigarettes of all hues? Is it because they are conscious of their social responsibilities? Pictures of celebrities smoking appear glamorous and civilized, regardless of the context of the scene in a movie and thus it strikes a cord with teens. They are shown at parties with a cigarette which pushes young people to emulate them. The brands they smoke, Marlboro cigarettes, Camel, Winston, Virginia Slims, Salem etc, become a point of campus discussion.

Could it be that the stars themselves have been influenced by the glamour that was once associated with cigarettes? Perhaps if you spend long enough in the fantasy world of film you start to believe in the celluloid image. Just like Gloria Swanson in ‘Sunset Boulevard’ you lose touch with reality.

After all, it’s not so long ago that everybody who was somebody in Hollywood smoked and was proud of it. Cigarettes smoking was glamorous and sophisticated. Just think of the iconic image of Audrey Hepburn in ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ as Holly Golightly posing elegantly with her long cigarette holder, upswept chignon and little black dress.

What’s not so elegant of course is the way Audrey Hepburn succumbed to the smoking habit herself. Ignoring her mother’s ‘beauty tip’ to: “keep to six cigarettes a day only”, Hepburn managed two or three packs at her worst times – even smoking in her nun’s habit on the set of ‘The Nun’s Story’ and chain smoking her way through ‘My Fair Lady’. Unsurprisingly, she suffered from asthma for most of her life and died of cancer at only 63 – looking frail and old for her years. Not the kind of ending we like to imagine for the sublime Holly Golightly.

There’s no doubt that the very nature of the movie business has caused many a celebrity to start treading the nicotine path. Smoking is as common in movies today as it was back in the 1950′s although overall smoking in the population at large has reduced. Could it be that a cigarette has become the film prop of choice for actors looking for an easy way to inhabit another skin?

For some celebrities – tired of the constant criticism and the ciggy shots splashed across the tabloids – a kind of smoking defiance has crept in. As Gwyneth Paltrow once said, “I smoke and I’m not going to stop!” Paltrow – famous for getting through a pack of Camel Lights a day in her teens and twenties – has only very recently quit smoking. Perhaps she started to wonder how her fine, fair skin and ethereal beauty would cope with the collagen depletion in her fourties and fifties.

Some celebrities keep going with the smoking habit whatever the consequences and even if it impacts on their relationships. It’s well known that smoking was a bone of contention between Brad Pitt and Jennifer Anniston during their marriage. Brad Pitt is on record as saying how much he hated his ex-wife’s chain smoking. His disapproval didn’t cut much ice with Jennifer though – as recent paparazzi photos show. You have to ask why one of the worlds most loved and naturally attractive women would do this to themselves?

Similarly, iconic top model Kate Moss is regularly photographed with her cigarettes, a lighter and a mobile phone as her only fashion accessory. As a supreme super model its probably not surprising that Moss still manages to appear effortlessly elegant and beautiful however she’s photographed – at least for now. She certainly shows no signs of wanting to quit smoking any time soon. Perhaps like so many in her world – she associates smoking with thinness. Or perhaps, for her, it’s the least troubling of her addictions.

When celebrities do chose to quit its fascinating that the reasons given are so often not about looks. Catherine Zeta-Jones for instance, quit smoking – so she said – because she didn’t want her children to start asking questions. Not as you might have thought – because beauty is her personal trademark and smoking would kick-start skin aging and undermine her potential to earn huge sums of money.

Whatever the reasons celebrities have for smoking or for deciding to quit – the truth about skin damage and smoking very rarely features as a major factor in the debate. Well – we think it should. So our advice to all you celebrity smokers out there – carry on smoking if you want but don’t expect your fickle public not to notice the effect on your looks. And when you hit a deluded middle age you may still be able to say, like Gloria Swanson in ‘Sunset Boulevard’: “I’m ready for my close-up now Mr de Mille” – but only if it’s filmed in heavy soft-focus, expertly back-lit and then extensively re-touched afterwards.

Celebrities With A Bigger Purpose Making A Bigger Difference

Celebrities can not help the fact they that are so popular. We see them all over television on network television and cable and satellite channels. It is us after all, the adoring fans that create them and make them popular in the first place. If we did not care about what was going on in their lives, they would not become so famous. It might seem to most of us average unknown people that celebrities seem to be really full of themselves, and some defiantly are, but not all of them.

If we keep up to date with the news, not the celebrity stuff, but important world event news, we should realize that there are celebrities that have made room for more things in their lives besides themselves.

So many of the celebrity entertainment programs that we watch, whether they come on network television or on cable or satellite channels, often do a lot more reporting on the latest scandals that the most currently hot celebrities are immersed in. Many of us can not resist interest in who has done what and to whom. It is human nature to want to listen to gossip, especially if it is true.

Something more important about human nature is hopefully a common desire to help others and in some way make a substantial contribution to the society we live in. Sometimes the stir that some celebrities cause by what project they are working on or what trouble some have gotten themselves into, can overshadow the tremendous humanitarian works that many other famous ones are involved in.

The musician known as Bono, who has been the lead singer and lyricist of the famous group, U2 has become known world wide not only for his music, but also for his humanitarian efforts in Africa. He has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize and was given the status of honorary knighthood in the United Kingdom.

Other celebrities following his lead, especially concerning Africa, are Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and George Clooney. They are using their status to promote attention to the deplorable conditions of the people in Darfur in Sudan, Africa. Pitt and Jolie have adopted one orphan child from Cambodia and one from Ethiopia. Oprah Winfrey has recently started an all girl school for underprivileged girls in South Africa.

It would not be fair to leave out a lesser known actor and comedian that constantly encourages a greener and better world. Ed Begley Jr. has played characters in several television shows and has become an outspoken activist for all things green or things good for our planet. He promotes all kinds of environmentally friendly products and currently has a show on HGTV called Living with Ed.

So the next time you think some celebrities are just more pretty faces, look a little closer and you might see something a little more substantial.

Beautiful Hairstyles Pictures | Celebrity Haircuts

Your face shape is the starting point to choosing a new hair style. Your hair type is the next consideration. Is your hair naturally straight, wavy, curly or kinky? To make sure that you are going to get your best look with these hairstyle tips, it’s important that you first make sure you have a round face.

If you are like many women out there and have been gifted a round face, there are specific hairstyles for round face shapes that will make you look more beautiful. To make sure that you are going to get your best look with these hairstyle tips, it’s important that you first make sure you have a round face.

If you have found out that you have a round face, remember either to have short hair or chin length hair. You should consider layering your hair right from the top and keep your hair close to your face. Do not cut your hair very, very short and have a haircut that is rounded and ends at your chin. This will exaggerate your face shape even more. Straight bangs are not recommended, but if you love bangs, you should curl them and wear them to the side.

If you have a classic round face, you have soft, non-angular features. Round face is so common among women. If you have such face type, you should engage in pampering your face. With different types of makeups, you rejuvenate the facial features. One simple way is to put your hair into a ponytail and go in front of the mirror. Then draw the outline of your face on the mirror with a lip stick around your face.

pick up one of the many star tabloids and skim through! tons of celebs, tons of hairstyles. try side bangs and layers in the front to shape the face perhaps! if you are going to a hair stylist you see often and trust her, ask her what she thinks would look best!
