Question by kellyyy*: Hair Color Advice!!?
I want to color my hair a new shade for the summer. I have a pale/ pale complection with peachy/pink undertones. My eyes are hazel, sometimes green sometimes almost golden. I’ve had light brown hair with highlights but my hair always turns blonde in the sun. Now, after the winter/spring i have a med.-dark rich brown hair color that is fading. My roots are lighter than my current hair color, so i’m not sure which color would look best. Lighter shades look better but i have dark brown eyebrows. So, if you have any ideas for hair colors for the summer please suggest them.

also the sun tends to bring out golden and reddish tones in my hair.

i’m considering this color: http://www.latest-hairstyles.com/images/celebrities/hilary-duff-brunette.jpg

Best answer:

Answer by AWW
that color is cute but get it more auburn. if you have dark eyebrows DO NOT go blonde because I find that to be one of the most unattractive combinations a person can make!

I would personally go dark brown with red undertones, but I don’t know if it fits your style.

Question by Jon: Need haircut advice for tommorow. Please help!!!!?
I’m a teenage guy with longish hair right now. Not shoulder length, but still long. I think I was going to get a medium length haircut for summer because I run and since it is hot, it will be easier. I have a square face, and an average size nose. My hair is copper/brown and straight. I will spend time to work on my hair, but I do not want to put too much stuff like gel in it. What would be a good haircut for me, what should I exactly ask for, and what celebrity hairstyle would you suggest as a guide?

Post links to pictures as guides please.

I HATE really short hair and crew cuts. Bangs and medium length are Ok. Avoid anything that could be interpreted as a bowl cut

I’m not sure if this is exactly what you’re looking for, but Taylor Lautner has a pretty good length of hair in my opinion.
This way, if you need to style it or anything a LITTLE bit of gel (not too much, or it will look too “done”) can just make it stay in the direction you want it to.
Other than that, it seems to be a pretty maintainable hair style that you wouldn’t have to do much to so that it would look good.

Question by Brooke Carroll: Any advice on which haircut I should get?
I’m 15 years old and in desperate need of a haircut. I’ll include a picture of myself in a bit so you can see, but I currently have long, thick hair with some grown out layers in it. My hair currently goes down to the middle of my back at my longest layer, and then my next major layer would be around my shoulders. I was going to do a basic side parted haircut (all one length) with side bangs and then let that grow out long, but I think that might end up being too boring and poofy, since my hair is pretty thick. I’ve been looking around at celebrity haircuts, especially Selena Gomez, for some inspiration. I will include some of those links as well to get your advice.

Here are several pictures of me:

http://i27.tinypic.com/1555nuq.jpg

http://i30.tinypic.com/eb3jh5.jpg

So I tried to give you pictures so you could fully see my hair and my face… I’ve got a long-ish face and an average nose I guess. I have hazel eyes. As you can see, my hair is an average brown, and I was thinking of dying it a darker brown. My eyebrows are thicker and are almost black, so I was thinking getting something closer to that… Here are some of the pictures I was looking at:

http://www.teenstarhairstyles.com/pictures/070519selenagomez.jpg – cut and color
http://images.beautifulhairstyles.com/teen/pictures/040127lyndsyfonseca.jpg – cut and maybe that color, maybe a little darker. Plus side bangs…

http://cdn.buzznet.com/media/jjr/headlines/2008/11/selena-gomez-jake-austin-77.jpg – cut and color, if I decided to go shorter. I would also need to thin my hair out a lot for this cut.
http://www.gossipygirlz.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/selena-gomez-hairstyles-2.jpg – I love this cut and color, but I don’t know how I would look with those bangs.
http://www.hairstyles99.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/selena-gomez-03_nc.jpg – cut and color
http://img.becomegorgeous.com/users_answers/jwlover4ev/54819.jpg – I love this cut, not the color though. My mom wants me to go blond for some reason, but I have super dark eyebrows

I like Selena’s bob, but I don’t know how good it would look on me…

I also love Miley Cyrus’ hair, but I’d need to get extensions which I don’t want to do. But any pictures on cut/color or explainations would be VERY much appreciated. I have a lot of dead ends right now, so there is less to work with… My friends say they like my hair long, but it takes really long to straighten/curl. Also, if you have any suggestions towards making my hair wavy (using a process at the salon, I mean) that would also be very much appreciated.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!

Answer by Rebecca
it depends on your face shape….if you have a larger round head, you shouldn’t get a bob haircut. if you have a smaller oval shape, its ok to get a bob haircut. for a larger round head, i personally think you should get about a bra strap length. sort of a heart shaped head? get maybe a trim if u have longer hair. if u want like an actual haircut then go with a little below the shoulder. square shape? mid-arm to shoulder… really its your opinion..i personally just had the same problem..i have a larger round head and got it a little shorter than the bra strap and i love it! but i think you should try on some wigs if not just think about you and your personality and get a haircut you like..and maybe try some highlights…to “spoof” it up. ~hope this helps icon biggrin Any advice on which haircut I should get?

Also, can you give some good product suggestions??

Question by actress singer violinist: Curly Hair Advice??
I asked this earlier but I need hair advice??

Ok, I’ve asked 2 questions about curly haired celebrities. My answers led me to this chart:

I don’t feel like getting another maintenance routine. I want your suggestions based on the looks of the C3s (I don’t remember who they were). If you like, you may tell me what you like about each. Pix would be helpful; product suggestions are ok. I just don’t feel like hearing about maintaning curly hair, as I already know this.

Remember: I am a C3.

Thanks everyone!! I’m Victoria. If you have questions about my question, ask.

- I have the same hair type as you! My hair looks great long with long layers- helps to avoid the triangle shape after drying. Check out a book called “Strictly Curls” for updos and such for curly hair. I like to sweep hair back with 2 crisscrossed bobby pins after parting my hair to the side. I also like to wear my hair half up and leave out individual curls to frame my face. Overall just experiment- it’s fun!
- Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life!
– To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blowdryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a microfiber hair turban (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).
-The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sulfates). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn’t brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.
- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (read more about this at one of the websites) . Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse. It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair. Then let your hair air dry or use a blowdryer with a diffuser.
- Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Aussie Moist Conditioner. The combo of products that I use daily is Garnier Fuctis Sleek and Shine Leave In Cream, Tressemme Clean Hold Gel, and Aussie Tizz No Frizz Gel, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites.
- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. This is hard to do if you don’t read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! Hope this helps!

Divorce Advice: How a Celebrity Can Help You

This has been an incredible period for celebrity divorces.  Madonna and Guy Ritchie recently finished a round of splitsville paparazzi style. The Christie Brinkley– Peter Cook battle was being broadcast like an actual crisis had hit the country. While it was eventually settled out of court, there are signs that certain issues may reignite the whole fiasco.

And what about Paul McCartney? After a long and nasty fight, the former Beatle was ordered to pay ex wife Heather Mills over 48 million dollars which is a fraction of what she was asking for.  Now it looks like McCartney may have had a few choice words for Ms Mills in his latest song.

Next up on the docket is Rolling Stone guitarist Ron Wood whose rumored divorce and possible settlement could top 100 million. It also appears that Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid may find themselves on less than peaceful terms when they face off in court.

Of course high profile celebrities are not the only ones doing legal battle with their former significant others but there are some things which can act as a roadmap in regards to what not to do in a divorce.

1. Scorched Earth

There is a tendency for some celebrity couples going thru a divorce to carry out a strategy of total destruction. It’s not so much that they care about the settlement (although that of course is a major part of things); it is that they are out to destroy and humiliate the other person in such a way that they would not dare show their face in public again.  Turning a divorce into the War of the Roses does not benefit either party.

2. Winners and Losers

A win-win situation is the idea solution because it can be a major catalyst in helping both parties move forward with their lives. In too many instances, one person wins or at least declares victory; the other one is beaten. That means the chances of bitterness and resentment lingering for a long time is very strong. If for some reason you have to deal with your ex in the future, you can expect them to give you a hard time no matter how important or minor the issue.

3. The Aftermath

For a number of divorced celebrities there seems to be no letting it go. They were put thru the ringer and irregardless of winning or losing, they find themselves revisiting the divorce over and over again in some form or another. Maybe the paparazzi won’t come to your door and ask you questions about your break up but constantly going over that same ground in less than pleasant terms with friends, family, or co workers is not going to do anything for your state of mind.

No doubt we are going to hear about many more celebrity divorces and quite a few are going to be drawn out malicious affairs where everything is dragged before the public.  If you are going thru a divorce just look at some of the tabloids and television shows to understand what not to do.

Celebrity Hair Styles Advice and Haircuts Tips

Of all the hairstyles in the world, celebrity hair styles are always those we are trying to imitate. Celebrities seem to have their hair the most amazing, always perfect. Many times, celebrities set trends that the rest of us will follow. If you want to change your style of ho-hum and are not sure what you want, you can start by looking in magazines or on the Internet, the celebrity hair styles. Take Jennifer Aniston for beginners. Probably more than any other celebrity, it set hair trends right and left.

Whatever the style that door, her hair still appears fresh and elegant. She brought her hair in a bob standard style known as “son” style. One of the interesting things about Jennifer Aniston and other celebrities hair styles is that you do not have to be worth millions to achieve the same look. To recreate the chin of which has been long cut off the hair of Jennifer Aniston so popular, you want to use a moisturizing shampoo good, especially if your coloured hair as hers is. Then, the state of the hair, you must use a detangler, which will make your hair smooth and shiny without adding weight. Then your hairdryer towel and apply a volumizer quality at the base. With a comb, part of a messy hair can fall into place naturally. The goal here is to show the hair style without looking too polished. Now, your hair must be pre-seasoned, what can be done by running your fingers while it blowing through the dried at low temperatures.

Before you begin style, the hair should be moist, but not wet. Start the style in the back, working on the underside. With a large round brush and blow dryer over medium heat, you want to guide your hair so it becomes straight. Keep air circulation at the end of the brush with the creation of a very slight curl under. Finally, using a very small amount of ointment, you will be working in your hair at the end, beginning at approximately one inch roots. Keep in mind that if you have the hair and that’s all right, you will probably want to skip this part. This is just one of many celebrities hair styles that you can follow. Another person we love to imitate is Nicole Kidman. Among the celebrity hair styles, her hair is always sophisticated and stylish. No matter how long it chooses or color, her hair looks perfect. To reach Nicole’s look chic with hair, you want to start with a good shampoo and conditioner. Then the towel hair dryer and spray on a treatment facility to meet your frizz.
