Question by Ashley: I’m going to a Christmas party today, and I need a new Hairstyle…?
I’m tired of always doing poofs, curls, ponytails, scrunching, etc. I really love the messy bun that celebrities can pull off. I’d love to do this, but how can I make it look good?

Or what about any other cool styles?

You could make a small poof at the top of your head and then make a few small braids going back into the messy bun. I never would have thought I liked it but if you take a neat headband and then do a french braid down the back of your head but maybe tie it off so that the ponytail part has a couple inches too it. but still go down all the way to your kneck. If you have a three barrel curling iron that makes a really fun wave that would be really fun for a party. I dont know if that was too close to the curls? Good Luck! Have fun at your party!!!

I’m due to have a baby sometime between now and September 6 (date of C-section), and I’m wanting to take a new haircut into the hospital.

Obviously I’ve gained a bit of weight, so my face is a bit pudgy right now. I have a long,oval face with a prominent chin (not quite a heart-shaped face though). It’s been a good year since I’ve had my last hair cut, so now it’s longer than my shoudlers. It’s also VERY thick and slightly wavy, but I am talented with a hairdryer and a flat iron.

I also have Acanthosis Nigricans, which I developed during pregnancy, which has slightly discolored the areas around my neck.

Pardon my use of celebrities for hairstyles–it’s a great way to get my point across to YOU without having to drag up or scan pictures.

I was thinking of doing something conservative–the “Mom” bob that Nicole Richi is sporting or something a little shorter like Paris Hilton (I don’t idolize either one). Now I’m even considering the “Posh” hairstyle.

Oh and my doctor has assured me that within 1-2 months of delivering the baby, my skin will return to its natural pigment. It’s not obvious, as it just looks like I burned the back and sides of my neck with a curling iron.

pick the style that is easiest for you to have..
you will not have much time for yourself and glam once the baby comes.
your attention for the first month will be the baby and not much else……

i didn’t. (i don’t even have photoshop) My hair reaches my shoulders but it is layered. If i pull the long bits back into a ponytail and ‘push’ the shorter layers forward it looks the way it is on the picture

Hi everyone,
Lately, I’ve been having some real trouble with my hair. It’s VERY thick, and has a bit of a wave, so if I don’t do anything with it it looks like a bit of a puff ball and it gets really “nappy”.
I’ve been trying to style it up in the front, not a faux hawk, but I can’t do it without it looking poofy in the front. If I were to compare my hair to a celebrity’s, I’d say Robert Pattinson, but I’m not willing to put my hair up if it’s that long. All the stylists I’ve gone to have said I have really great hair, but they’ve never given me any suggestions before.
Can I please get any suggestions? I’d really like something that is really easy to do that requires minimal effort and time, because i don’t have much time in the morning to do it. I don’t want it super-short either.
By the way, my hair naturally goes a little to the right side, but I would be willing to train it differently if I need to.
