Question by kristi125656: Is this hairstyle a good choice for a round face?
I have a round face and very full cheeks. Right now my face is long and pretty much all one length. I am ready for a change. I have an appointment next tuesday to get my hair cut and I need some advice! I need a hairstyle that would compliment a round face and have a slimming effect on my cheeks. I want to go shorter…so a medium/short hairstyle. I am scarred though because some people say round faced people don’t look good with shorter hair. Well anyways, I found some pics of Kelly Clarkson and I really liked her hair in them..here they are:

I have a light olive complexion with a round face, and I am of East Indian origin. I have long, black hair with caramel colored highlights that are halfway grown out. (Closest celebrity you can refer to I guess is Sunny Leone.) Anything that makes my cheeks look less chubby and keeps my hair as long as possible is a must. Pictures or links would be appreciated. I am looking for something with lots of layers and is very trendy right now for this season. I admit I am a trend whore lol!

I want to get a short Korean hairstyle because it seems to be more manageable. But, before I get it, I want to know if getting that kind of hairstyle is okay with my face shape and hair texture.

I have African American hair meaning it’s coarse and thick.
I also have a round face.

Sounds just like my hair! I suggest the short and choppy about chin length, give or take a little, with a sweeping bang and framed around the face. If you really don’t want the short and choppy, try middle of the neck length with the framing around the face and sweeping bang. Since you have thick hair, if you want to thin it out get layers and it’ll take a lot of weight off.
In short, whatever length you decide on, with the round face, I’d have them frame it around your face. I personally love the sweeping bang, too, so maybe try that!

I would really like to see some pictures, because I’d lie to get my hair cut this way. And please, don’t say it won’t work, my friend has that kind of cut and it looks great. I’d just like some different variations, so we don’t end up with the same hairstyle.

I have a round face and I want to get my hair cut. My layers are growing out so its just long around mid back length, extremely curly and I have a side fringe, i straighten it a lot. But i need a new hairstyle i was thinking of getting a full fringe like Kelly Osbourne or maybe like Jeff’s signature cut off BBC 3 celebrity scissor-hands =P I want to keep my length but i need advice for my fringe, I don’t want a side one anymore.

there is a hair cut fit just for you.
try a hair cut that frames your face.
they tend to slim and make round faces appear longer.
