Okay, I have an appointment tomorrow to get a wave perm.

Don’t tell me perms are awful, because I’m doing it anyway.

now, My hair is in layers, a bit shorter in the front, but long in the back.

Here’s a picture:

See? Shorter in the front & longer in the back.

I want wavy/curly hair, but I want the curls to start higher up on the head.

Like Tyra’s hair, sort of.

Not like, flat on the top and then curly on the bottom.

I can’t seem to find any good sites with lots of pictures for me to look through.

I didn't say that I wanted hair just like tyra's.

I want my curls to start on the top of my head, like hers do.

Check out my main picture – I have a wavy perm lol. I brought in a photo of gisele. You could try that or just bring in trya’s picture. I’m sure they will understand what you mean!

I have tried the braiding but it takes too long and dosnt stay for long.
This may sound silly but I want a perm but is there a perm that dosn’t damage hair as much? I also was thinking of a body wave perm.
My hair isnt flat straight, it has some volume but its not wavy.

Perms are only damaging if you get them every year.

I have very long hair and I am 100% Italian so my hair tends to frizz and get poofy easily… when it air drys naturally, its curly with some frizz… considering my hair type, what would be the best way to get my hair a little less curly, but not straight, just right inbetween, like those celebrity hairstyles?
if I straighten my hair I can get it perfectly straight, but thats not what I want… also when I play around with those curling irons/moose, I always get my hair TOO curly because its already curly to begin with…… anyone have any ideas? please help!

I don’t know how you could get the complete look but if you just curl some bits of your hair and leave others straight then it wouldn’t look too curly and would look nice. Also you could do loose curls and not keep them under the curling irons too long?

Well…when you wash it let it air dry or if u hav 2 blow dry it then put a defuser of the blow dryer.Thats what I do.
